No need to take mushrooms while walking through downtown Clearwater this weekend, because that’s definitely a ukulele party making its way down the sidewalk.

Tampa Bay Ukulele Society hosts a “Sip, Stroll and Strum” in Downtown Clearwater on Saturday night which includes performances from Tom Hood & The Tropical Sons and The Pineapple Scruffs (pictured).

Select restaurants on the districts 400 and 500 blocks are offering wine sampling, with 10 more restaurants also sampling appetizers during the stroll. Don’t be late for the 8 p.m. singalong where uke-strummers of every skill lever are invited.

Bring a ukulele to get $5 off of admission which includes a souvenir cup for wine sampling throughout the revitalized district (between 400 and 500 Blocks of Cleveland Street). At 8 p.m. any level uke player is invited to join in a play and sing-a-long. “This will be a truly festive kick-off to a new season and will welcome back many snowbirds who didn't come down last year,” Robert Wilde told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.
