When you grow up in the Death Metal Capital of the World, you think you know what you’re getting from any band with the word “cannibal” in it. But Cannibal Kids surprised me, in a good way.
I wasn’t expecting the nice indie-soul thing it has going on. The South Florida act just started its “Neon City” national tour with Los Angeles indie-pop act Animal Sun, and this West River show has local favorite Dischord Theory opening.
