Healthy Phoenix is camping out at Ybor City music venue Crowbar this weekend. On Friday, March 12, the promoter hosts “Who Run the World” with Nat Lee, Fantastical Tigers and Emily Turnage (pictured). And in case you don’t know who “Run the World,” it’s girls—hence the all-female lineup. Might want to bring a tissue, too, because Fantasicial Tigers boasts that its sound is “Music to relax to...or cry to...or both.”
The bill for “Rock at Night,” specifically Saturday night, March 13, is a little more monstrous with songwriter Kid Loki, Nevertheless, Old Bones and “heavy psych stoner rock” favorite Beerwolf. You could probably use those Friday night tissues for earplugs because, you know, reduce, reuse and recycle.
Crowbar’s Tom DeGeorge is still running a tight ship, too, so only 100 tickets for each show will be sold. Expect a mask requirement, temperature checks and social-distancing. Whether you go or not, you can still donate to the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), the nonprofit DeGeorge has been working with to help Save Our Stages.
