‘Lightning Launch Weekend’ includes Stanley Cup movie screening at Tampa Theatre

Bolts Brew Fest and an open skate at Amalie Arena are on tap, too.

The Tampa Bay Lightning’s official Stanley Cup Champions film comes out on Sept. 14, and fans can get together to watch it at Tampa Theatre on Sept. 18.

The premiere screening of NHL Studios’ behind-the-scenes look at the Bolts’ run to back-to-back championships is part of the team’s 3-day “Lightning Launch Weekend,” which kicks off on Friday, Sept. 17 with Bolts Brew Fest (a local craft beer festival held in partnership with Creative Loafing Tampa Bay).

Tickets to see the Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup Champions Film at Tampa Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. are on sale now for $35.

Other activities included in “Lightning Launch Weekend” include a free exhibition showcase came where Lightning prospects will skate at Amalie Arena against the Nashville Predators (Saturday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.) and an opportunity for fans to bring their skates to the arena for a public skate on Sunday, Sept. 19 (reservations required).
