On Tuesday, state data reported 4,426 new coronavirus cases and 132 deaths—locally, Tampa Bay added 734 cases and 56 deaths. And while the Tampa Bay Times reports that 182,365 people have been vaccinated in Hillsborough (175,649 in Pinellas), 32,481 have died from the virus statewide. That’s several thousand reasons to adhere to any music venue’s COVID-19 protocol (except for maybe the Dallas Bull’s), but the live local music scene is picking itself up.

We’ve marked the gigs at venues that have joined a Tampa-based and city-recognized “Safe & Sound” initiative that pledges to strictly enforce limited capacity, mask wearing and social distancing—and tried our best to explain COVID-19 protocols at venues that not able to join Tampa’s “Safe & Sound” program.
