In 2014, Walk the Moon birthed one of the biggest earworm’s with the megahit “Shut Up and Dance,” a song so deeply implanted in my brain I feel like it has always existed—and you can expect all of Jannus Live to be singing it when the band hits St. Petersburg for a Monday concert.

The successful Cincinnati synth-pop band has done all the stuff it's supposed to: played festivals, won some awards, and even remade the “Ghostbusters” theme for the much-hated-but-actually-not-that-bad 2016 movie redo. Its “Dream Plane” tour hits this outside venue for an all-ages Monday night show where L.A. newbie Jany Green brings promising indie-pop to his opening set.

Walk the Moon w/Jany Green. Monday, Sept. 20, 7 p.m. $27.50-$30. Jannus Live, St. Petersburg. jannuslive.com
