Downtown Tampa’s Best of the Bay-winning SuperNatural Food & Wine store is now open for breakfast and lunch on Saturdays, and the folks at Camp Conversation want to celebrate by throwing a ‘Supernatural Saturday’ event this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 9.
It gets started with a casual 8 a.m. “Slonuts” bike ride that starts at Spaddy’s located 3 miles away in Seminole Heights, but things really get going at 11 a.m. when SuperNatural Food & Wine—located at 305 E Polk St. next to The Hub—plays host to the 3-hour event featuring live piano, dancing, artists and vendors, plus celebrated Tampa historian Gloria Jean Royster (pictured).
Royster is a children’s book author, expert on the history of downtown’s recently-renamed Fortune Taylor Bridge, and leads Tampa Bay History Center’s history walk about Taylor, a revered ex-slave, community leader, and businesswoman who owned 30 acres along the Hillsborough River. She’s also the maker of Tampa History Postcards, which we’re sure will be on site at Supernatural alongside other vendors.
