Starting today, Pfizer vaccine officially authorized for Florida residents 16 and older

Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been authorized for people 18 and older.

Florida will expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility Monday to residents age 16 and older.

Gov. Ron DeSantis initially focused on vaccinating seniors and health-care workers but gradually expanded eligibility to people age 40 and older. The change Monday will allow all adults to get the shots.

Also, the Pfizer vaccine has been authorized for people 16 and older, according to the Florida Department of Health website. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been authorized for people 18 and older.
