During his Monday morning podcast, comedian and actor Bill Burr went on a long rant listing off all the reasons he really wants the Tampa Bay Lightning to win back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals.
Burr kicks off his Lightning rant, which begins at about the 36 minute mark, commenting on how the Montreal Canadiens can’t do anything to stop Tampa Bay’s $18 million salary cap “fucking loophole,” which he says is fine because we apparently really need this win.
“I mean if you look at people in Montreal, people in Montreal look like they're doing fine, except for the drug addicts and the homeless people. Other than that, if you look at the average person walking around, you know, they're bilingual, they have nice clothes, they have a good sense of who they are. You go to Tampa. Oh, Jesus Christ. I mean, it's just, I don't know what it is down there. It's just a city that time forgot, right? Everybody's down there like, you walk around Tampa and it's like, is everybody on their way to a cookout?
