St. Pete’s newest theater company Off-Central Players continues its first season with the world premiere of “The Sister-Mothers of Gulfport” by local playwright Bill Leavengood.
The dramedy—opening Thursday, Dec. 2—revolves around a single mother and her daughter with themes perfect for the holidays: family and dysfunction.
Off-Central, a nonprofit, performs out of Studio Grand Central at 2260 1st Ave S. The company and black box-style performance space are the products of producing artistic director, and professional actor, Ward Smith, his sister Karen Riffe, Sydney Reddish (pictured above) and more.
“The Sister-Mothers of Gulfport” runs Thursday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 12. Tickets cost $35. Masks are requested for vaccinated guests, and required for those unvaxxed.
