Banjo-strumming indie-folk band The 502s arrives in Tampa’s West River on Friday

It’s hard to be in a bad mood when listening to The 502s (or any band with a banjo really). The Maitland group mixes genres—indie, folk, bluegrass—with the comedic timing of Bret McKenzie to make songs like “I Keep Rolling” and “Just a Little While” which make you want to roll the windows down and sing along really loud. With indie-funk Inverness outfit The Occasionals, it’s going to be a good time Friday night at the West River venue.
