After going virtual last year, Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s Bark in the Park is back in-person at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Celebrating its 35th year, the fundraiser helps the nonprofit find money for “shelter, food, spay/neuter services, and medical care for thousands of animals” that are given up to the organization every year. To help out, participants can form a “pack” with friends or—if you’re more of a “lone wolf”—raise funds all by yourself. And not that you’re doing it for the glory, but prizes are given to the top groups.

The event includes a one-mile walk, pet adoptions, food trucks, and live entertainment. And don’t forget to dress your canine best friend: dog costume contests include prizes for “Best Downtown Chic,”,“Best Pirate Pup,” and “Most Creative.”
