Washington soul singer Allen Stone plays Tampa Theater on Sunday

Stone's retro, blue-eyed soul sound led him to open for the kings of the genre: Hall and Oates, but he's the main act now after shows at The Ritz and Capitol Theatre the last time he was in town.

The 34-year-old headlines Tampa Bay's most beautiful venue in what could be the perfect gig to start your Valentine's Day celebration a month early. Stone—touring behind his latest album, Apart—asks that "all ticket holders must show proof of negative COVID test administered within 48 hours (home test results not accepted). Attendees may bypass these requirements with either physical or electronic proof of a vaccine shot and a government issued ID with matching name." Don't go throwing shade at the venue either, it's Stone's call.
