Running through June 26 in Seminole Heights, "Karst Grounds: Quatro Sunistra "—the fourth iteration of Tempus Projects’ open call show—“explores the sinister side of the Sunshine State,” which is basically every side of the damn place these days if you’ve been remotely paying attention to the legislative session, global warming and the line at your local grocery store.

Work across all media a disciplines are accepted, and there is a $20 fee that allows you to enter up to three pieces of art. The deadline for entry is April 3 before midnight.

Russian-American artist Anastasia Samoylova is the guest juror for the show. Tempus Projects says the now Miami-based artist "moves between observational photography, studio practice, and installation" with work that "explores notions of environmentalism, consumerism, and the picturesque."

The opening reception for "Karst Grounds: Quatro Sunistra" is on Friday, May 13 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
