Pub subs are getting some stiff competition.
Capriotti's Sandwich Shop
will open a second Tampa Bay location to the people of Lutz at 1948 Collier Pkwy. on April 25.
The Nevada-based sub chain's Odessa location
was the first in Tampa, and there are currently plans to open 15 more throughout the Bay, according to a press release.
The fast-casual eatery is known for niche sandwich combinations like "The Bobbie"— made with oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. But the star of the show is the cheesesteaks, offered with the classic fixings or the more unique "Chicken Chipotle Crunch", the crunch coming from crispy cheddar onions.
“The quality of Capriotti’s is something one would expect to have in their favorite home-cooked meal,” says Scott Crawford, owner of the Tampa Bay franchise. “No matter the sandwich preference, Lutz and the entire Tampa Bay area will soon be able to experience a level of quality and comfort that has never been available in the area until now.”
