Tampa Bay art lovers who can't afford a vacation to Rome to see the Sistine Chapel are in luck, but only until June 26.

Westshore Plaza is hosting "Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition" which shows 34 true-to-size print replicas of renaissance artist Michelangelo's paintings from the cathedral. Tickets are $20, and the exhibition runs every day except Monday and Tuesday, from 10 a.m.-6. p.m.

The replicas were created using state of the art technology, and allow users to see the details and scale of Michelangelo's iconic works up close inside the former Sears department store at Tampa's Westshore Plaza mall, which is located near the intersection of Interstate-275 and Westshore Boulevard
"This unique exhibition, hosted in Tampa, invites you to step into the universe of the greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, yet seen from a totally new perspective," the website for the exhibit says.

The exhibit's website advises that visitors give themselves 60-90 minutes to tour the exhibition, and there's an audio tour included.

Your opportunity to see Michelangelo in a Tampa mall is brought to you by the organizers of the other themed exhibitions such as: Star Trek, King Tut, Titanic, Frida Kahlo, Michael Jackson and more.

And good for them for finding a use for that old Sears.
