Dubbed as “St. Petersburg's favorite Shuffleboard party,” Cocktails on the Courts returns for another year of fundraising and showcasing forgotten fashion trends from the last century.

Happening this year on Saturday, September 24 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., this vintage Florida celebration—which takes place at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club at 559 Mirror Lake Dr. N—is an annual fundraiser that raises money for The St. Petersburg Museum of History, so it can continue its mission of preserving, protecting and sharing the city's history.

In addition to unlimited “Florida-inspired” food and drinks, the event’s pre-sale tickets also get you access to live music, a 1950s -themed fashion show, a live art demonstration, all of the shuffleboard you can play, and a silent auction that will feature “uniquely St. Pete products,” as a press release states.
The Black Honkeys, a popular Tampa-based band, will be performing their soulful and funky tunes at this annual fundraiser. Further entertainment will be provided by professional Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators.

$100 pre-sale tickets—or 2 tickets for $175—can be purchased at events.r20. Members of the St. Petersburg Museum of History can also receive 10% off of their Cocktails on the Court tickets by using an exclusive code provided by the museum.

Although it’s unsure which local restaurant or caterer will provide the event’s unlimited food and beverages, you can keep up with the latest details by visiting St. Pete Shuffe’s Facebook.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required, so head to downtown St. Pete this September to find out just how well you can play shuffleboard in a tightly-cinched poodle skirt.
