Happening on Sunday, Nov. 13 inside Port Richey's Spinnations Skating Center at
8345 Congress St., this charity bout pits Revolution Roller Derby's team The Valkyries against a mash-up of skaters from Tampa Bay and beyond.
Both monetary and physical donations will be raised for the local nonprofit The Volunteer Way, which has battled poverty and hunger throughout the greater Port Richey area for upwards of 30 years.
Tickets for next month's "The Valkyries vs The World" bout are available on the Revolution Roller Derby website for $10, or for $12 at the event. Folks that bring donations for The Volunteer Way—like gently-used clothes and personal items, baby or pet food—will receive $2 off of the entry price. Children ages 10 and under get into the bout for free.
