If you haven't noticed, the Tampa Convention Center is getting a significant facelift, and some recently released updated renderings give us a glimpse of its future self.
According to Tampa.gov, the upgrades at the Tampa Convention Center, located at 333 S. Franklin St. are part of a $38 million Capital Improvement Campaign, intended to provide a better guest experience as well as increased efficiency and cost savings.
The construction phase began in November 2021, and renovations include the addition of 18,000-square-feet of meeting space, with 18 meeting rooms that will have views of the Garrison Channel, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows.
The building's facelift was designed by Baker Barrios Architects Inc., who have continuously evolved the renderings as the project has moved along.
As of now, the project is expected to be completed in June of 2023.
