Cory Robinson, a longtime Tampa artist and Creative Loafing cartoonist, hosts his first solo art show, "Surprise, Surprise" at Tampa Heights gallery Mergeculture.
Opening night for Cory Robinson's "Surprise, Surprise"—happening on Friday, Jan. 27 at 1544 N Franklin St.—coincides with Bloom On Franklin’s first block party of the season, showcasing the newest work from Robinson, known for his “fresh color palette and adorable characters” (and one of the garage door murals that cover storefronts along the block).
Food and goods vendors will be on hand, along with a live music lineup topped by soul-pop songwriter Sundé and rapper Psych Montano.
This party where a half-dozen venues are open is a donation-based affair, and you can just type “Oceanic Market downtown Tampa” into your GPS to get there.
