As they say, "Dome is where the heart is." So, what if we just went for it and kissed in this plywood dome home, which is now for sale in Florida?
Located just south of Jacksonville at 4420 Saddlehorn Trl, in Middleburg, this geodesic dome comes with four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. It also features a dome-shaped garage, a bathtub perfect for at least half a human, plywood galore, and best of all, the endless joy of knowing you never have to empty the gutters.
Dome homes are pretty rare, kind of like our love, and according to the listing, this one was built in 1987, which is around the time when dome home kits were popular. But for awhile they were kinda popular in Florida, mostly because they're extremely energy efficient and can withstand earthquakes and hurricanes much better than regular square-like houses.
Like romance, this dome home isn't exactly cheap. Currently, the dome is asking $425,000 and the listing agent is Don Bowman of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.
What do you say, should we go for it?
