One of the most recognizable homes on Tampa's most recognizable street is now on the market.

Located at 1209 Bayshore Blvd., the Mediterranean revival home was completed in 1993, and was originally built for Don Wallace, the co-founder and former CEO of Lazydays RV dealerships in Seffner.

To build the home, Wallace demolished the previous homestead, which belonged to a local court stenographer named Robert Cole,  who purchased the home and the prestigious lot it sat on for $35,000 in 1971.

However, in 1990 the home was seized by the  federal government after Cole attempted to trade his 1967 Rolls-Royce for 4.5 pounds of cocaine with two undercover agents, according to reports.

Over the years Wallace has owned quite a few notable mansions around Tampa Bay— including a much larger home further down Bayshore and the famous "The Oaks Estate" in Thonotosassa—but he sold this particular pad in 1997 to the late Joseph S. Casper, the McDonald's franchise owner and father of DeSantis mega donor Blake Casper.

Today, the 4,687-square-foot home comes with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as an infinity edge pool, high-end appliances, multiple balconies including a rooftop terrace, and arguably one of the best lots for Gasparilla parties.

The current asking price  is $5,225,000, and the listing agents are Kamilla Altunyan and Ally Russell of Keller Williams Tampa Central.
