An award-winning home built for a member of the Root family,  owners of the Coca-Cola Bottling empire, is now for sale in Florida.

Located at 489 Ocean Shore Blvd., in Ormond Beach, the luxury oceanfront home was built in 1994 for Chapman J. Root Jr., grandson of Chapman J. Root, who famously created the iconic contoured green glass bottle for Coca-Cola in a nationwide contest back in 1916.

The massive 7,483-square-foot home consists of metal, glass and stone walls, and features two three-story concrete towers connected by two bridges. The seven- bedroom, nine-bathroom home also comes with copper stairs, transparent brass mesh walls, and exotic wood throughout, as well as a Koi pond, a 38-foot glass wall facing the ocean, and a 60,000 gallon Vegas-style pool.

The Ormond Beach House, as it's typically referred to, was designed by architect William Morgan, who won a National Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for the house.

The Harvard-trained architect passed away in 2016 at the age of 85, but his work can still be found all over Florida, including the Dickinson Hall at University of Florida, the Museum Of Science & History (MOSH) in downtown Jacksonville, as well as many award-winning residences, like the "Dune House," and his own triangle residence, the "Morgan House," in Atlantic Beach.

The Ormond Beach House is currently asking $6,380,000, and the listing agents are
Christopher Connors and Kevin Purucker of Oceans Luxury Realty.
