One of St. Petersburg's most iconic historic homes is currently on the market in Jungle Shores.

Located at 1446 Park St. N, the Casa De Muchas Flores, or "House of Many Flowers," was built in 1924 by Henry H. Dupont, who built quite a few prominent buildings in Florida, but is probably best known for his famously pink Don CeSar hotel.

The 9,932-square-foot Mediterranean Revival-style home comes with a total of six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as marble floors, Pecky Cypress ceilings, hand-made wrought iron fixtures, and a Venetian pool house where portions of the 1985 film "Cocoon" were filmed.

Besides, the Don CeSar, the Casa De Muchas Flores is arguably DuPont's most recognizable project. The home was originally built for developer Alpine Lucas, but was sold just a few  years after completion to Ohio-based businessman Thomas W. Miller, owner of Faultless Rubber Co. and Miller Tire Co.

After Miller died in 1946, the house changed a hands a few times over the years and eventually fell into significant disrepair, until it was sold in 1982 to its current owner Dr. Chester Babat and his wife Doris, who restored the home to its current state.

Just like the Don CeSar, the Casa De Muchas Flores is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The current asking price for the House of Many Flowers is $11.5 million, and the listing agent is Dania Perry of Century 21.
