Check out these images from Benny Andrews at the MFA in St. Petersburg

As if you needed another reason to check out the work at the Museum of Fine Art in St. Petersburg... but in case you did, here's one more: Benny Andrews.

Don't know the name? You should, and after this exhibit, you will. Andrews was a gifted artist, but he also was a tireless advocate for social justice. There's a lot to the man's body of work, both on the canvas and off. In addition to his art, he was a founding member of the Black Emergency Cultural Council.
