Friends, family and activists call for justice in the death of Tampa teen Josiah Pinner

Over the weekend, friends, family and activists gathered in Ybor City to call for justice for Josiah Pinner, a 15-year-old who was killed after being struck by undercover Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy Philip Montesi on January 21. Montesi was responding to a non-emergency call and going 21 miles per hour over the speed limit in a residential area; the deputy received a five-day suspension and was forced to take a driving class. Dave Decker went to the rally outside the sheriffs office and has these photos to share. —Ray Roa
