Famed Major League Baseball star Johnny Damon has hurled his Orlando-area home onto the market.
The home, located at 6004 Cartmel Lane in Windermere, is listed for $30 million, making it one of the two most expensive homes for sale in Central Florida. The other, also in Windermere, is listed for the same price.
Damon, a former Boston Red Sox outfielder, built the Orlando lakefront home with his wife, Michelle Damon, back in 2010. You may remember him from his fan-favorite flowing hair he sported while on the team, or perhaps from his 2021 DUI arrest, which he famously blamed on his support for Donald Trump.
Either way, Damon left his mark on the estate, which was previously home to several other sports big shots. Property records indicate the land previously belonged to NBA stars Antonio Davis (2001-2002) and Tracy McGrady (2002-2007). Damon purchased the residence in 2007 for $4 million.
The home comes complete with nine bedrooms, 17 bathrooms and — maybe unsurprisingly — an in-home hair salon.
Other over-the-top amenities include a two-lane bowling alley, sports bar, karaoke room, home theater, music loft and arcade. The resort-style saltwater pool is accompanied by a grotto and waterslide, as well as a hibachi grill and bar. Outside, there's tennis, basketball, sand volleyball courts and a zip line, too.
The $30 million home is being handled by Alice Anne Jackson with Corcoran Premier Realty.
