On the eve of a House vote that could see President Donald Trump impeached, tens of thousands of protesters at over 550 locations in all 50 states attended rallies Tuesday to call for the U.S. leader's removal from office.

In Tampa, approximately several hundred protesters gathered at the Sam M. Gibbons Federal Courthouse. St. Petersburg's North Straub Park held a similar rally.

Sponsored by a coalition of over 100 national groups including Need to Impeach, Public Citizen, Indivisible, the Service Employees International Union, the Women's March, Democracy for America, the NAACP, Move On, Progressive Democrats Of America and the Sierra Club, protesters stood in peaceful solidarity.

The "Nobody's Above The Law" rallies are part of a massive grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds Donald Trump accountable for using military aid and other official acts to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections for his personal benefit. Protesters demanded that the House of Representatives fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office. Army Veteran (resigned as a Captain/O-3) and Bronze Star recipient Kristin Hoffman said that holding our ally's security hostage to personal demands is a major offense.

"The Constitution is clear that the United States is not like other countries with Kings, Queens, or Dictators and all U.S. citizens must abide by the law," Hoffman said. "Our Commander-in-Chief must respect the Oath of Office he took, just as our Military Officers and Government Civilians are expected to do."

Tampa's Dr. Bruce Shephard said that we have reached a tipping point. "Donald Trump has crossed every legal and moral line and now impeachment and removal remains the only reasonable alternative," Shephard said. "Thomas Paine famously said 'These are the times that try men's souls,' and once again they are. Times that call for conscience and justice." "

We are here with a simple message," Shephard continued. "No one is above the law."
