On Friday, iconic Tampa music venue and restaurant Skipper's Smokehouse announced its closure after 40 years in business, and while owner Tom White is open to playing a role when a buyer scoops up his 1.6-acre slice of live music and gastronomic pleasure, Sunday's show with tribute band Alter Eagles effectively marked the end of one of the most joyous, significant and tie-dyed eras of local music history. —Ray Roa
