Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith—the last of The Monkees—showcased their final performance together in Tampa Bay on Wednesday night at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall. The nearly two-and-a-half-hour show with intermission was an affair filled with deep cuts (“St. Matthew,” “Auntie’s Municipal Court”), a weepy Nesmith story about being young and lonely (“While I Cry”), and all the snark and goofiness you could want in a Monkees circa 2021 show. If this indeed was the last hurrah from Mike and Micky, they’re not going out with a whimper.—Josh Bradley
