Every music festival would probably like to operate out of its homebase, but kudos to the organizers of Clearwater Jazz Holiday, who've spent the last two years staging their more than 40-year-old, nonprofit, music festival at a temporary home, BayCare Ballpark, which it said goodbye to last weekend.
Jazz Holiday has really made BayCare its own, and over three days, the festival got back to its more traditional, pre-COVID setup (blankets in the outfield lawn, shoulder-to-shoulder seating in front of the stage) as it welcomes headliners from the Americana, R&B and soul world to join acts like Friday night headliner Trombone Shorty to pull off yet another edition of one of the best music festivals in Tampa Bay.
