The 25 most-anticipated new restaurants coming soon to Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay's massive amounts of growth and development in the last year does not only mean shiny new buildings and clogged highways — it also means new food.

With an apparent outburst of breweries popping up in Seminole Heights, a Bay-Area-turned-chicken-tender-heaven and much more, here are some of the more exciting new eats coming to the greater Tampa in the coming months.

Blackbrick  
4812 N Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa
With ample success at its Miami location, modern chinese-fusion restaurant, Blackbrick, plans to open a Tampa location this August. Featuring more traditional dim sum like dumplings as well as modern dishes like pork and grits, Blackbrick's chef Richard Hale has received perhaps the most important accolade of them all: the Guy Fieri seal of approval.

The craft brewery’s new spot will feature a bar, dining space, outdoor seating and in-house food service. Until its new location opens this year, patrons can enjoy Late Start at its current location inside of Pour House.

As the brainchild of the minds behind HaleLife Bakery, HaleLife Bistro boasts a sit-down experience free of dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. Planning to open this summer in a 3,200 square-foot space in St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts District, the bistro will seat up to 60 patrons and carry its beloved bakery classics on premises.

As the brainchild of the minds behind HaleLife Bakery, HaleLife Bistro boasts a sit-down experience free of dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. Planning to open this summer in a 3,200 square-foot space in St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts District, the bistro will seat up to 60 patrons and carry its beloved bakery classics on premises.

Award-winner for Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay’s “Best Poke Bowls”, Pacific Counter, is coming to Tampa. The long awaited third location of the St. Pete-based poke bowl and hotdog joint will be located in the Modera Apartment building in downtown and plans to open this summer. As per usual, the spot will allow patrons to create their own bowls, sushi burritos and hotdog combos.

The long awaited third location of the St. Pete-based poke bowl and hotdog joint will be located in the Modera Apartment building in downtown and plans to open this summer. As per usual, the spot will allow patrons to create their own bowls, sushi burritos and hotdog combos.

The family-owned brewery will have a patio for your pups and will allow kids to hang around until 8:30. While there won’t be a kitchen onsight, Wulfhaven expects to host food trucks regularly.
