The most-anticipated new restaurants coming to Tampa Bay this summer

While the pandemic took a lot of restaurants and small businesses down with it this year, Tampa Bay is still seeing new restaurant openings in the coming months. Here are a few local eateries on the verge of debuting.

Raining Berries  
1601 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Raining Berries is St. Pete’s newest coffee shop and acai bar opening in Artistry Apartments. With locations in Lutz and Tampa, the St. Pete location will carry on the chain’s mission to bring people together over a cup of Joe.

Hiccups Tea House

Hiccups Tea House will be a new Asian-fusion restaurant serving over-the-top desserts and unique entrees. Technically two concepts under one roof, the restaurant will house both Hiccups Restaurant & Teahouse, the Asian-fushion component, and Churroholic, a Spanish-inspired dessert line.

This new wine bar is to open in Tampa’s Sparkman Wharf with a hefty selection of wine and a small plates menu. Free the Cork is set to include an indoor, air-conditioned central bar, so guests won’t have to brave the typical crowds.

Kahwa Coffee is opening its newest location in St. Pete as a drive-thru and walk-up location. Although a little different in structure made out of three refurbished shipping containers, it will still be serving Kahwa coffee and sandwiches.
