A Florida house that most certainly skipped leg day is now on the market.
Located just south of St. Augustine at 3560 Coastal Hww., in Vilano Beach, the extremely tall home is locally known as "The Blue House," and has was "built to withstand mother nature, and it has been doing just that," says the listing.
Built in 2004, the 2,000-square-foot home comes with two bedrooms and four bathrooms, and features impact windows, granite countertops and an oceanfront view that's practically above the surf during high tide.
It's worth noting the home may need some serious TLC. "With an investment to protect the home from the storms, this would be an ideal vacation home and/or short-term rental," adds the listing.
According to WTLV, the home has survived hurricanes Matthew, Irma, Ian and Nicole, but its driveway and breakaway wall were washed away during Hurricane Ian. Most importantly, as you can see in the photos, it's not entirely clear exactly how you get inside the home.
On top of this, the home's stability has been issue for years, and local officials have told the owner to either get the house up to code or demolish it, reports WTLV.
“When we permitted it through, they gave us an exact amount of where we could build and at that time it was a ‘C’ zone, you don’t even have to have flood insurance in a ‘C’ zone," said owner John Ruggeri to the station.
The home is currently asking $1,199,000 and the listing agent is James Brown of St Augustine Realty.
