USF's new head football coach Jeff Scott just bought Lovie Smith's old Tampa house

The home of former Tampa Bay Buccaneer's head coach Lovie Smith was recently scooped by University of South Florida's new hire Jeff Scott. The home was purchased on Jan. 24, for $2.5 million, reports the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Located at 4901 Turnbury Wood Dr., the 10,146-square-foot home sits in the gated Tampa Palms community, and comes with 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. It also features a media room, his/her offices, a game room with a Playboy pinball machine, an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a resort-style heated pool and spa, a putting green, a shuffleboard court, a separate guest house with kitchen, and an 800-plus bottle wine cellar.

Scott, a former Clemson co-offensive coordinator, came to Tampa last December after agreeing to a five-year, $12.5 million deal with USF. He also received a $500,000 signing bonus on Jan. 17, 2020.

Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Tampa was the listing agent for the sale.
