Earlier this week, a scuffle at a wedding reception in Middletown, NJ escalated into a huge brawl involving approximately 300 people. Multiple police departments responded to quell the melee, which resulted in two arrests.
On Friday, the A La Carte Pavilion, normally reserved for wedding ceremonies that typically begin and end beautifully, will host a fight of its own, but in a more structured fashion when 18 up-and-coming professional fighters compete in a nine-match card.

- St. Petersburg resident Noemi Bosques will be featured in the female flyweight division in the Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford Summer Series that was set up by promoter Ruben De Jesus and Ivan Echevarria.
The banquet hall will be the site for the Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford Summer Series boxing event, the third installment of the series this season and the 25th anniversary of the event that features some of the best up-and-coming professional boxers in the world.
The main event will feature local favorite Daniel “Alacran” Lozano (11-1 with nine knockouts) of Bowling Green, Fla. against Mexican native Antonio “El Tostado” Tostado (13-2 with six knockouts) in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds for the interim WBO Latin Jr. Bantamweight Title. For Lozano, it will be the fifth time fighting at the A La Carte Pavilion, which he considers his hometown venue even if it is an hour away from Bowling Green.
“There’s always a lot of people there to come out and watch me when I fight there,” Lozano said. “There’s a place in Acadia that’s about 30 minutes near me, but I’ve fought so many times [at A La Carte Pavilion] so Tampa feels like home for me.”

- Daniel Lozano takes his 11-1 record into the main event fight against Antonio Tostado in the WBO Latin Jr. Bantamweight Title match.
Lozano interestingly trains in his backyard ring that he created eight years ago due to Bowling Green (with a population of less than 3,000) not having an official gym.
“It was just something we decided to do and we made something that works for us,” Lozano said.
The card will also feature a female fight between St. Petersburg resident Noemi “La Rebelde” Bosques (5-1) versus Yolaine “Yo Yo” Lin De Lauf (6-1, 1 knockout) of Winter Haven in a bout scheduled for eight rounds with the Florida State Flyweight Title at stake.
Bosques has fought four times at the A La Carte Pavilion, twice as a pro and twice as an amateur.
“It’s very exciting to perform in front of family and friends,” Bosques said. “I love the energy and the way the crowd recognizes me and supports me. It’s a great feeling to fight in front of people wanting you to do well."
Another highlight fight will feature Andrey Klimov (17-1, 8 knockouts) of Klimovsk, Russia versus Guillermo "El Borrego" Avila (14-2, 11 knockouts) of Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds in the Junior Lightweight Division.
