A documentary that will make your head explode, Unfit dissects a 1995 custody battle in Pensacola, Florida between John and Mary Ward. John was a convicted murderer who had served nine years for killing his first wife. Mary was a lesbian. Guess who the homophobe judge gave custody to. Unfit does a workmanlike job of relating the story, nabbing key interviews with family friends and the child at the center of the battle, and enraging the audience. You’ve been warned.
