Brother Cephus’s Saturday-night show at The Hub may be the mostmemed local rock show of the year, but it’s best to log off and see what the hullabaloo is about in real life when it joins vintage, interstellar '60s rock band The Venus and Justin Myers for a free gig at this beloved, heavy-handed downtown dive. Myers — who performs under the Justin Depth moniker — is supporting an early 2018 EP, Clear, where he weaves strands of waavy electro-pop together to make a meditative sound that’s the perfect soundtrack for smoking cigarettes and getting buzzed in the dark. There’s never a cover at The Hub, which is probably bad news for your liver.
