An artist by the name of Lil $ithlord has been popping up on our radar lately, and we’re not the only ones noticing—his Instagram 2020 wrap up shows over 26,000 listeners. $ithlord—who’s opened for Xaiver Wulf—is hard to explain, but I’ll try: gothic, industrial, trap and hip-hop genres all play into his style, which includes a pinch of death metal because, you know, Tampa.

Check out a new video for "Super Sane" or the song “Lost” from a 2020 album This is Hell. With lyrics like “Yes she on my dick,” creepy laughs, nightmarish beats and suicidal overtones, Mr. $ithlord is definitely an act that grabs your attention. A plethora of other bands—metal, hip-hop, gothic and more indescribables—are on the bill for the Sunday night Pegasus Niteclub show. Plus, they are giving away free glowsticks. So win, win.

CL emailed Pegasus owner Julie Bible for an update on the venue’s Covid-19 policies and will post any new information in the online version of this preview.

Turn up the Bass Festival w/Lil $ithlord/ B-Zeik/Malaki Da Joker/ Travesty/A Satire Suicide. Sunday, Feb. 28, 6:30 p.m. $10. Pegasus Niteclub, Tampa. INFO
