It's been more than two decades since the release of Hot Water Music's debut, Fuel For the Hate Game, and while that makes us feel old as fuck, it's not enough to keep us from being thrilled to see the legendary Gainesville punk-rock outfit confirmed for a show at the Orpheum in Ybor City on May 20.

The Ybor show and a May 19 date in Orlando are the only announced U.S. tour dates on the band's itinerary, and tickets to the local show go on sale Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. EST. Ticket prices have not been announced.

Frontman Chuck Ragan & Co. are touring behind a new album, Light It Up, which saw release last fall. It's the follow-up to  2012's Exister.

"The most exciting part about this record for us was self-producing and being in control from start to finish," the band said in a recent press release. "We haven't made a record this way since Fuel For the Hate Game. As frightening as it was to not have the safety net and sounding board of a producer, it was just as liberating to make a record that is 100% Hot Water Music, scars and all."
