If you can’t already tell, the whole point of these music previews is to get you up and off the sofa and into a club where some form of music is happening.

Well, Daddy Kool and the folks behind the Et Cultura festival are teaming up to give you something that’s a happy medium between a concert and couch sesh. The Listen Up Film Series is a recurring, free-but-ticketed, event, and this month finds organizers screening Nas Live from the Kennedy Center, where the revered rapper teamed up with the National Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Illmatic at the Kennedy Center.

The Monday showing is at Hideaway Café in St. Pete, and an encore happens at Tampa’s Hooch and Hive on Tuesday.
