Sporting denizens of Tampa Bay were obviously hoping to be drinking from another cup this week (hi, Stanley), but the Lightning lost, OK? Plus, our U.S. soccer ladies are in the land of croissants hoping to once again hoist the World Cup after taking the trophy in 2015.

The 2019 tourney kicked off last Friday when France took on South Korea, but Alex Morgan (pictured) and the rest of the American stars started their campaign on Tuesday, when the team opened group play against Thailand. There are a few places to see the rest of the games this Sunday and next Thursday (MacDinton’s, Wild Rover, London Heights, Pokey’s), but you can find us in Tampa shackin’ up and the WiFi-equipped Independent Bar & Café.
