Before its release, Danny Worsnop told listeners to expect the unexpected when it came to his forthcoming solo album. Fans of the Asking Alexandria frontman got just that.
Shades of Blue finds the 28-year-old setting the screaming aside and showing off his pipes, which are surprisingly smoky and, predictably, pretty damn versatile. The 11-track effort never really soars, but it’s more than soulful enough to make this Orpheum show alongside New York pop group Pros & iCons and Pensacola Beach’s Young Natives interesting.
