The last time we had the chance to see Periphery was during a headlining set at the Ritz Ybor a month before COVID-19 shut things down. Four years later, the D.C.-based prog-metal band is pushing its latest album Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre, on which it breaks out the synths on a number of occasions, including on the radio-friendly โSilhouetteโ and the 11-minute closing epic โThanks Nobuo.โ
