When Black Friday comes, I'll stand down by the door / And catch the gray men when they dive from the fourteenth floor:
- Not much exactly new about Katherine Harris (or KatHair, as we like to call her around the national affairs desk) in this Times account, but it is the largest number of staffers gathered into one piece about the continuing meltdown of the soon-to-be former elected official. As a former campaign manager, it continues to amaze me how her staffers are talking so openly (generally considered career suicide in politics) and how the media has been so unquestioning of the clear unethical action by her former staffer Chris Ingram, who went to work for a rival campaign after quitting Harris. Only lobbyists are allowed to brazenly switch sides like that, not staffers!
- For those bored at work today, count the number of hackneyed, cutesy and annoying phrases in Sean Daly's Steely Dan Review. We're up to 15 and still going strong.
- Wal-Mart in Tarpon Springs suffers a setback. But the Tribune had the scoop yesterday.
- Derek Newton asks: how can the Democrats win Florida?
