An eccentric, Gwar-esque event is making its way to Tampa Bay.

Music and visual artist Andy The Doorbum is in St. Petersburg at his second and final stop in Florida, alongside alt bands Knife Rituals and Highway Advisory Radio.

With outlandish costumes and a melodic mash of raw vocals with evocative lyrics and a sprinkling of folk, the Pennsylvania based artist, Andrew Fenstermaker, has been making music since he was nine years old.

Fenstermaker’s stage name was born in 2005 after patrons noticed his earthy, scruffy appearance while working the door at The Milestone Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he began developing his vision as both an artist and musician.

His work’s sound has a sharp yet steady contrast from Knife Rituals and Highway Advisory Radio, which render more of a grungy and math rocky vibe.

Fenstermaker is making his first stop in the Sunshine State in Orlando February 13 at Willโ€™s Pub.

Tickets to see Andy & the Doorbum play Bananas Records in St. Petersburg on Sunday, Feb. 16 are still available and start at $12.
