A proposal by Stuart Senate Republican Joe Negron that would require the eight children's boards throughout the state to face voter referendums to continue their existence is back on the table, and apparently could soon be be passed into law.

Readers will remember that two weeks ago Luanne Panacek, the chief executive of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County,  two weeks ago successfully persuaded Hillsborough County Commissioners to persuade lawmakers in Tallahassee to "kill the bill" when it came to Negron's legislation, which would require all eight children's boards to go up before the voters every six years, starting this year.

The following day, it looked like the bill had been killed, when it tied 7-7 in the House Military and Local Affairs Committee.
