Democratic House candidate in District 57 Stacy Frank announced on Monday that she has been endorsed in the Democratic Primary by Tampa Fire Fighters Local #754.
Cl readers might recall that we reported on Frank's candidacy when she declared she was running last November, and how some critics of her business (which has essentially been working as a 'middleman' between cellular phone companies and Hillsborough County Schools to bring cell phone towers on campuses) spoke out against her in 2009.
Whether that actually happens is dubious. But we did learn on reporting on that story that in fact there has been extremely little media coverage of what critics say are the potentially harmful repercussions of both cell phone towers and cell phones overall in our society, especially in comparison to the debate in Europe and Israel.
Now, GQ magazine has weighed in with an extremely accessible story written by reporter Christopher Ketcham entitled, "Warning: Your Cell Phone May Be Hazardous To Your Health." Ketcham gets to the root of the problem for U.S. reporters (or activists) immediately early in his story:
