St. Pete's Fourth Street has gained another newcomer in an eatery called Main Street Boys.
Specializing in homemade empanadas, sandwiches and desserts, the shop opened up at 6837 Fourth St. N. in April or so — but keep reading. This place calls its food "too good to refuse."
MSB's menu lists nine sandwiches, all of which come stuffed inside pockets of house-made pizza bread. Diners choose from creations like The Gilly (breaded chicken cutlets, marinara, mozzarella), The Mickey (Italian hot dog, grilled peppers, onions, potatoes) and The Goo Goo (tomato, mozz, basil, balsamic).
Pork picadillo, cheese, pork and cheese, or build-your-own empanadas are also featured, while the hot dogs range from chili, onion and cheese to sauerkraut to naked. And for dessert? Key lime cheesecake, turtle brownies and Jersey-style crumb cake have made it onto the sweets lineup in the past.
Though MSB is takeout-only, diners are welcome to place call ahead orders for pick up; the shop offers delivery through FoodNow, too. Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
