Tampa's Vegg'd Out Vegan Kitchen will showcase sweets for a cause at its Bettersweetz: Vegan Dessert Fest from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Hosted at the Ybor Daily Market, the free festival will help the Best of the Bay-winning community hub move from its digs at 1920 E. Seventh Ave., where its been headquartered since January, to a new location at the end of the month. The market's last day of operation is Oct. 24.

The Vegg'd Out Vegan Kitchen, co-owned by head chef Yourhighness Tafari, is known for its array of vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as educational food prep classes. In addition to dazzling taste buds with various vegan treats — raw "cheesekakez" and pies, "cupkakez" and cookies included — the kitchen hopes to promote clean eating and inspire folks to create their own vegan desserts.

The event also promises food demonstrations, live music from FreedomHeightz and art by Moel Metaphysical Jewelry and Justin Seabolt.

If folks can't make it out, donations may be made through Ybor Daily's GoFundMe page. After the market finds a fresh home, it plans to continue featuring coffee, Wi-Fi, couches and small businesses.
